Can you use this recipe with other brands of indoor grills? Yes, absolutely. However, the grill needs to have both a top and bottom section that makes contact with the food.

When you want grilled pork chops, but don’t want to cook outside, a George Foreman grill is a handy gadget to have.

It’s easy to use and just as easy to clean. And it’s the perfect appliance for those days when it’s too cold or rainy to use your outdoor grill.

Since the George Foreman grill is so reasonably priced, and it even goes on sale often, this is the one I recommend (see the image below).

It’s an indoor contact grill, so it cooks quickly.

I love the fact that I don’t have to wait long for it to heat up or cook my food. It’s a great way to get dinner on the table in just a few minutes.

In fact, it delivers perfect pork chops with very little effort. Although I love food cooked on an outdoor grill, this is so much easier, and the cook time is super short.

You’ll also enjoy the fact that it leaves grill marks on the meat, just like an outdoor grill. And then when you cut into the juicy pork chops, your tastebuds will thank you.

You can use boneless chops, but my favorite is bone-in, thick pork chops. The bone adds to the flavor, and the thickness prevents them from drying out from cooking too quickly like the thinner chops do.

There are different sizes of George Foreman grills. I used to have a small Foreman grill, but I decided that the medium size one was what I needed for my husband and me.

Other brands also offer them in a variety of sizes, so you can choose what works best for you.

Easy Pork Chop Recipes

I have quite a few different pork chop recipes, and they’re all good. When I see any cut of pork chops on sale at the grocery, I pick up a couple of packages.

Since pork is such a versatile meat, you can cook them in a variety of ways. One of my husband’s favorites is these barbecued pork chops.

I like this pork chop casserole with tomato gravy. It took me a while to come up with a gluten-free recipe so I could eat it. Once I figured it out, I can’t tell the difference.

Another family favorite is this creamy ranch pork chop recipe. It is packed with a delicious balance of creaminess and flavor.

These 3 ingredient Crock Pot pork chops are loaded with so much flavor that it’s hard to believe there are only 3 ingredients.

You only need a few things to cook these delicious pork chops. You can add more if you want, but it’s not necessary.

Here’s a list of ingredients to make them the way I do:

  • Bone-in pork chops
  • Olive Oil
  • Your favorite seasoning

You can use whatever seasoning you like. We have a lot of favorites, so I rotate them in my spice cabinet.

This time, we used Butt Rub that I got at Costco. We also like seasoned salt or the Original Dash.

Longhorn grill seasoning is delicious on any meat that you grill. In fact, whatever type of seasoning you like on beef or chicken should be yummy on pork chops.

Any kind of steak seasoning or spice rub, including this homemade meat seasoning, is good.

I’ve also marinated the raw meat in Worcestershire sauce, which is a good way to infuse a bunch of flavor.

You can add black pepper if you want. I would have, but the seasoning I used already has it in the blend.

Another thing I’ve done in the past was make my own seasoning blend. You can add whatever seasonings you like.

One of my favorite blends was onion powder, garlic powder, smoky paprika, and a dash of ground cayenne. In a small bowl mix all of them together. Then store the blend in an airtight container in your pantry.

For exact measurements of each ingredient and full directions, go to the recipe card at the bottom of the page. You can even print out the card by using the “print” button.

If you can’t find pork chops in the thickness you desire, purchase a pork tenderloin and slice your own.

You can follow the rest of the direction in this George Foreman Grill pork chop recipe. But keep in mind that the thicker the meat the longer it needs to cook.

How to Make Indoor Grill Pork Chops

This is such a quick and easy main dish to make that you can have supper on the table in a matter of minutes. Of course, that depends on what you choose as side dishes.

First of all, I brush pork chops on both sides with olive oil. This enables the seasoning to stick to them.

Now pat the seasoning over both sides of the pork chops.

I like to make sure they’re covered in seasoning.

Now put the seasoned pork chops in a plastic bag and seal it.

Place it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to enable the seasoning to get into the meat.

If you choose to use Worcestershire sauce, you can mix it with the olive oil. When doing this, I use 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce and 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

You can also do the same thing with soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. When I use soy sauce, I add a little bit of brown sugar to cut the salt level and balance it with a rich, sweet flavor.

Before you cook the meat, remove it from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature.

After the meat has some time to absorb the seasoning, plug in your George Foreman grill. When the green light comes on, it’s ready for the meat.

Place pork chops on the bottom of the hot grill. Lower the lid and cook for about 4 minutes.

Check on Your Chops

At the 4 minute mark, open the lid and check the temperature by inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat.

When it reads 145 degrees F, it’s safe to eat. That’s the minimum internal temperature.

If the temperature is a little higher, that’s fine. But you don’t want to overcook the pork chops because they’ll become dry and leathery.

Cooking time may vary, depending on the thickness of the pork chops. If they’re thicker chops, you might need to keep them on the grill for an extra minute or two.

For the best results, check them often. Remember that they have direct heat on both sides, so they’ll cook quickly.

A general rule of thumb for checking the meat temperature is after 4 minutes, check on it every minute or two until it’s done.

How Long Can You Keep Pork Chops in the Refrigerator?

If you thaw pork chops early and can’t cook them for a few days, you’ll be fine. Raw pork chops will keep in the fridge for 3 to 5 days. I tend to err on the side of caution.

Leftover cooked pork chops that are cooked are typically good for a couple of days. It’s best to cook exactly what you need with maybe leftovers for lunch the next day.

What to Serve with Pork Chops

Sometimes I simply serve a side of vegetables with pork chops, but there are so many other things that go with them.

Here are some of our favorites:

Classic Baked Mac and Cheese Casserole – This is a great recipe that delivers some of the most amazing comfort food you’ll ever taste.

Air Fryer Butternut Squash – When you need lots of nutrition to go with great flavor, this one is for you!

Crispy Zucchini Parmesan Chips – The parmesan cheese packs a powerful punch of deliciousness, making it the perfect side dish.

Scalloped Potatoes – Check out this wonderful side dish recipe from Back to My Southern Roots. Once you try these potatoes, you’ll want to make them again and again!

Mama’s Potato Salad – This recipe was the one my mother used to make. And when she brought it to family reunions and potlucks, it was always the first side to disappear!
